Tutorial (Dr Azrina)
I am away this whole week for my CLA course at Gombak. I will reschedule my tutorial (both ICU tutorial and ABG tutorial) to next Monday 30/11/2009 after the Crisis Management Class. Welcome Block 2 Students
The scheduled learning activities are as follow;
1. Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Management Workshop
Date: 1st week Friday for each group
Time: 930am to 11am
Venue: Basic Clinical Skill Laboratory, 3rd Floor, JHC
Please divide yourself into 4 groups;
Please read the following topics. You need to present them to your colleagues during the workshop.
Group 1:
Spinal Anaesthesia and Analgesia
- Anatomy
- Physiology
- Indication / Contraindication
- Technique of insertion (on mannikin)
Group 2:
Epidural Anaesthesia and Analgesia
- Anatomy
- Physiology
- Indication / Contraindication
- Technique of insertion (on mannikin)
Group 3:
Intravenous Analgesia - Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) and Continuous Infusion
Subcutaneous Analgesia
- Physiology
- Indication / Contraindication
- Technique
Group 4:
Pharmacology of drugs - Local Anaesthesia, Opioid, Non-opioid analgesia
- Mechanism of Action
- Side Effects
