I am away this whole week for my CLA course at Gombak. I will reschedule my tutorial (both ICU tutorial and ABG tutorial) to next Monday 30/11/2009 after the Crisis Management Class. Please divide yourself into 4 groups;

- Indication / Contraindication
- Technique of insertion (on mannikin)

Group 2:
Epidural Anaesthesia and Analgesia

- Indication / Contraindication
- Technique of insertion (on mannikin)

Group 3:
Intravenous Analgesia - Patient-Controlled Analgesia (PCA) and Continuous Infusion
Subcutaneous Analgesia
- Physiology

Pharmacology of drugs - Local Anaesthesia, Opioid, Non-opioid analgesia

CARDIOVASCULAR AND RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Appreciate normal heart sound and its relation to the anatomy of the heart and cardiac cycle
2. Differentiate between different abnormal heart sounds and their anatomical and physiological abnormalities
3. Elicit the effects of different cardiovascular drugs on normal physiology and abnormal physiology.
4. Appreciate normal breath sound and its relation to the anatomy and physiology of the lung
5. Differentiate between different abnormal breath sounds and their anatomical and physiological abnormalities

LEARNING ACTIVITIES
1. Overview of anatomy of the heart and cardiac cycle

INSTRUCTION TO STUDENTS
